Factory Motor Parts is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Administrator to support our HR functions and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental health and safety, coupled with excellent organizational and communication skills.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • EHS Compliance: Collaborate closely with our Senior Safety and Compliance Manager to ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations regarding environmental, health, and safety (EHS) standards.
  • Training and Education: Coordinate EHS training programs for employees to ensure understanding of safety protocols and procedures.
  • Incident Management: Assist in the reporting and investigation of workplace accidents and incidents, and develop strategies for prevention.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records and documentation related to EHS activities, including incident reports, training records, and regulatory permits.
  • Risk Assessment: Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards and develop strategies for mitigation.
  • Emergency Preparedness: Implementation of emergency response plans to address potential workplace emergencies.
  • Environmental Sustainability: Support initiatives to minimize environmental impact and promote sustainability within the organization.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR, operations, and facilities, to promote a culture of safety and compliance.
  • Audits and Inspections: Assist with internal and external audits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
  • Certification in Occupational Health and Safety is a plus.
  • Previous experience in EHS administration or related role, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental health and safety regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with EHS management software preferred.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
