CEE is seeking a Proposal Development Specialist. This position would report to the Director of Program and Business Development. As Proposal Development Specialist, you will orchestrate the proposal development process from RFP release through contract award, support proposal and business development efforts in close collaboration with subject matter experts and external partners, write custom copy that will deliver compelling winning proposals and lead post-submission activities. The ideal candidate would possess exceptional skills in written and oral communication, teamwork, flexibility, ability to motivate, and a "do- whatever-it-takes" attitude. This is a highly networked role that requires an ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with subject matter experts and external partners, lead the development of outline, structure, and content for all proposals and post-submission activities, including:
    • Coordinating, reviewing, editing, and writing proposals with input from various internal and external stakeholders.
    • Write RFP-compliant proposal content that is persuasive, compelling, and supports strategies and win themes
  • Process complex technical information and create customized, persuasively written text for inclusion in a proposal.
  • Create reusable content for the proposal development library.
  • Assist in the development and support of partnership agreements with external firms, by working with CEE's subject matter experts, thought leadership leads, and senior management.
  • Represent CEE at conferences and other external events.
  • Develop presentations as needed for internal and external audiences.
  • Collaborate with CEE's marketing team on messaging, positioning, channels, and tactics to continually support CEE's growth and program development strategies.
  • Provide technical writing, editing, and/or proofreading as needed.
  • Produce, assemble, ship, upload, and/or otherwise deliver proposals on time in accordance with RFP/RFI requirements.
  • Develop and implement a process to document all lessons learned from proposals and make recommendations to continuously improve our process.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • BA or BS in a related field or an equivalent combination of related experience and education
  • 5+ years of demonstrated and related experience in writing and editing large, complex proposals, or equivalent combination of education and experience with a proven track record of producing high-quality deliverables (samples will be requested)
  • Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills
  • Experience in developing, producing, and managing materials in response to RFPs/RFIs/RFQs/RFAs
  • Experience in consulting, and/or one of the following sectors: utility, energy, or environmental services preferred
  • Proven planning, promotion, implementation, and organization skills, along with exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong time and project management skills
  • Expert skills using Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, intermediate or better skills in Excel, and SharePoint/One Drive.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud Suite preferred.

Compensation

Depending upon qualification and experience, the salary range for this position is expected to be between $65,000-$70,000.

Location

We are open to candidates from other locations with a remote work arrangement.
