Summary: The Boxer assembles and fills boxes by performing the following duties:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Folds boxes per specifications
  • Attaches identification labels to boxes
  • Places specified number of product in container
  • Counts items packed to ensure compliance with company standards
  • Passes filled boxes through tape machine
  • Checks boxes for correct labeling and damage
  • Loads pallets with filled boxes
  • Monitors and records temperatures of product
  • Draws random samples according to quality assurance specifications.
  • Cleans equipment according to company standards.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Acquires knowledge of Trident's Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions.
  • Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings.
  • Performs other responsibilities and tasks as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Three to six month food manufacturing experience

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.

The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance.

The employee is regulary required to stoop; kneel, crouch, and talk or hear.

The employee moves objects

  • regularly up to 5 pounds
  • frequently up to 25 pounds
  • occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to distinguish shades of color to identify abnormalities and/or defects in food products.
