The Career - What it is:

Apothecary Products (APL) is currently adding a Quality Technician to its team. In partnership with Quality leadership, you will help ensure our product portfolio of self-care wellness solutions and pharmacy supplies supplied to some of world's largest retailers achieve our quality standards. This hands-on role provides support in the development, execution, and maintenance of the company's quality management system (QMS) by performing a wide range of activities including determining inspection criteria, implementing test methods, coordinating product testing, investigating nonconforming products, and continuously improving the QMS. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who has worked in a similar capacity in a fast-paced regulated environment with strengths in working independently, critical thinking, and desire to make an impact on the lives of others through their work. This position will be based onsite daily at the company's manufacturing/distribution headquarters in Burnsville, Minnesota.

In this role the incumbent will:

    Develop incoming acceptance test method for new and existing products
  • Develop and maintain product quality plans, identifying quality attributes to ensure product meets its intended performance spec
  • Coordinate product testing to meet specifications of company, customers, and regulations
  • Perform product nonconformance investigations to identify root cause and bring resolution ideas
  • Investigate product issues reported by the customer and work with other company functions as necessary to identify/implements effective solutions
  • Support varied supplier quality initiatives
  • Assist onsite team with addressing in-production quality response needs
  • Assist with the validation of new/changed products and processes
  • Identify and implement improvements to processes and/or products
  • May provide back-up when necessary to Quality Inspectors
Qualifications + Experience:

We seek applicants with these critical skills and experience:

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years in quality role with progressing responsibilities
  • Work experience in regulated industry such as medical device or consumer products
  • Prior experience working with 21 CFR 820 and ISO 13485, or ability to quickly learn
  • Strong critical thinking skills
  • Detail oriented, organized, and capable of working effectively with minimal supervision
  • Strong communicator - written and verbal
  • Technical proficiency to productively work with and in Microsoft Office and other business systems
  • Verified experience operating in a fast-paced business

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • ASQ certification; we will help you earn it if you do not have it!
