Job Description


TYPE OF POSITION:
Non-Rep Hourly
Hours may vary based on program needs

REPORTS TO:
Supervisor of Special Education

SUPERVISION:
None

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in speech communications or related field, or AAS Degree from an accredited Speech Language Pathology Assistant program

POSITION SUMMARY:
Implement treatment/intervention plans, record students' status, perform various clerical tasks, discuss students' treatment plans, support informally assessment of students and conduct screenings. This position works under the direction of the certified Speech Language Pathologist. Participate in educational facility activities.

SALARY:
$24.02/hr-$30.00/hr (dependent on qualifications and experience)

  • Provide direct service in articulation, stuttering and language under the supervision of a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)
  • Prep materials and make visuals for speech services provided to students
  • Assist with Transitioning skills into general ed.
  • Assist with interventions set up by SLP
  • Develop lesson plans for providing service
  • Prepare progress reports and day to day documentation for student service
  • Draft present levels of performance for review by SLP
  • Draft skill ideas to work on for review by SLP
  • Schedule student sessions
  • Other duties as assigned
