Job Description

Registered Nurse - Endoscopy

 
The Riverside Endoscopy Center (REC) is seeking a full time Registered Nurse.  REC is collaboration between Colon & Rectal Surgery Associates, Ltd., (CRSAL) a large, independent surgical specialty practice in the Twin Cities and the University of Minnesota Physicians.  This is a full time position, daytime hours (no weekends or holidays) based out of the Riverside Endoscopy Center located near Fairview Riverside Hospital in Minneapolis.  REC staff are employed by Colon & Rectal Surgery Associates, Ltd.

 

Description

 

Responsible for assisting MD’s in procedures and the delivery of patient care and through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation.  Responsible for directing, coordinating all nursing care based on established clinical nursing practices to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes.

 

Requirements
 
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Current Nursing License with the State of Minnesota
Two years of recent nursing experience Endoscopy, Med/Surg, Pre/Post Surgery preferred
Able to demonstrate strong nursing skills including assessment and patient education
Strong technical and organizational skills
Excellent communication skills
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with physicians
Maintain Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) Certification
ACLS preferred, will train if not currently certified
Ability to reach or assist to transfer up to 50 pounds
Ability to stand, and/or walk 80-90% of the day
Visual and hearing acuity to perform job related functions.
