Job Description

Join Generation Next to help improve student achievement in the Twin Cities - a coalition of local organizations working to improve educational outcomes of low-income children in our community.

We are seeking an experienced, flexible, proactive individual to work with Generation Next, a collective approach to improving student achievement. The focus of this position is developing and implementing a communication and engagement plan in collaboration with key partners and stakeholders that is responsive to the greater Twin Cities community and consistent with the Partnership’s five key goals to close the achievement gap.

Description of Duties

  • Lead Generation Next knowledge and network-building activities.
  • Provide staff support & thought partnership to the Generation Next networks.
  • Manage internal Partnership data and systems in coordination with the lead data partner.
  • Serve as liaison between the networks and the lead data partner.
  • Serve as a member of the Executive Director’s Senior Leadership team.
  • Manage quality of network recommendation
  • Identify and support network facilitators
  • Oversee launch of new networks

Specifications

  • Master’s degree in business, education, policy, non-profit or organizational change management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five year’s professional experience in education, non-profit management, policy, and/or data and evaluation, or a related field.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to develop and maintain transparent and effective working relationships with diverse individuals and constituencies.
  • Successful experience creating and utilizing data management software and technologies.
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas verbally and in writing that can be understood by a variety of audiences.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills and abilities including utilizing quantitative and qualitative data and/or continuous improvement processes to inform drive systemic change.
  • Leadership experience in building partnerships and/or networks with and within diverse corporate, philanthropic, K12 and higher education, non-profit, and urban communities.
  • Strong project management skills to meet timelines and manage contractors and/or staff/interns on a diverse range of projects and initiatives.
