Community Service Reinvestment Act
The Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), enacted by Congress in 1977, is intended to encourage depository institutions to help meet the credit needs of the communities in which they operate, including low- and moderate-income neighborhoods.

Bremer’s health care options are designed to help improve the lives and health of our employees and their families. Medical – Bremer offers a number of coverage options through quality providers for you and your eligible dependents. Dental – Bremer employees and their dependents may choose to participate in our dental plans, which includes a limited lifetime orthodontia benefit for dependent children. Health-related Time Off – Should you become ill or disabled, Bremer provides you with Paid Time Off (PTO), Extended Disability Leave (EDL), and Short-term Disability (STD). You may also select a Long-term Disability (LTD) benefit that fits your needs. Health Care Reimbursement Account – You can take advantage of the benefits a Health Care Reimbursement Account (HCRA) provides by contributing pre-tax dollars which may be used to pay for medical and dental expenses. Dependent Care Reimbursement Account – Pre-tax contributions can be made to a Dependent Care Reimbursement Account (DCRA) to help cover childcare expenses. Bremer augments health coverage by offering employees insurance plans that provide income replacement during times of loss. Life Insurance – Bremer offers several levels of employee life insurance coverage, allowing you to choose the level that best suits your needs. Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance – Our life insurance benefit includes accidental death and dismemberment insurance. Dependent Life Insurance – You may choose among several levels of protection for dependent coverage. Wellness Programs – Bremer offers reduced premiums for participation in Health Risk Assesment and wellness activities. Your Professional Development
Education directly affects the success and quality of life of every community. Because of this, Bremer strongly supports continuing education for our employees. Bremer features Pathways Learning and Bremer Leadership Academy. Educational Assistance – Bremer provides financial assistance for undergraduate and graduate coursework. Professional Growth – Courses sponsored by outside professional educational institutions such as the American Institute of Banking (AIB) and American Bankers Association (ABA) are eligible for reimbursement. Employee Assistance Program – This free, confidential counseling service is available to you and your eligible dependents. Paid Time Off – Bremer offers you a generous number of days for vacation, relaxation, child-related activities, or illness. Employee Dependents’ Scholarship Program – Dependent children—ages 25 and under—may apply for an annual scholarship award ranging from $700 to $2,100 for post-secondary education. Your Future
To assist you in developing a financially secure future, Bremer offers the following. Profit Sharing/401(k) – You may contribute up to 75% of your total base earnings into Bremer’s 401(k) plan. Bremer will match your contribution 100% up to 5% of salary each pay period. Bremer will also contribute to your account in the Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) or in this plan based on our financial performance. You receive this discretionary contribution even if you don’t contribute to the 401(k) plan. Retirement Plan – You will also receive a basic retirement benefit that can be supplemented by benefits from the Profit Sharing/401(k) and ESOP plans. Bremer will provide you with a retirement benefit based on your length of service, age when you retire, and earnings. Your Finances
