Company Overview

Crown College is situated on a 215-acre campus near the communities of Waconia and St. Bonifacius, Minnesota. Nestled among the rolling hills of one of the most beautiful lake-dotted regions of Minnesota, the College is just minutes west of the bustling Twin Cites of Minneapolis and St. Paul, offering a place of retreat for learning and growth.

Student Body
Over 700 undergraduate students and approximately 600 adult students comprise the student body at Crown. While most adult students live in the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area and commute to campus for classes, 80% of the traditional day students reside in the residence halls. About 59% of the traditional day student body comes from Minnesota with the remaining 41% spread throughout 22 other states.

Our History and Accreditation
For 94 years, Crown College has existed to prepare people for life and ministry. Beginning in 1916 with four students who wanted to study the Bible, it quickly developed into a training school for those interested in ministry and missionary preparation. A few years later, it became known as St Paul Bible Institute, gaining a solid reputation as a leader in the Bible college movement throughout the Midwest.

In the late '50s, the name was changed to St. Paul Bible College, and accreditation was obtained through The Association for Biblical Higher Education (ABHE). In the early '70s the College sought regional accreditation which was granted by The North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCA) in 1975. The College also is a member with the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities (CCCU).

In the following years the College expanded the curriculum with the introduction of many new majors and areas of study, as well as developing the campus with the addition of several housing facilities. In 1992, the name was again changed to Crown College.

Faculty
Over 60% of Crown's full-time faculty hold doctorates and all are evangelical Christians with a passion to teach. Crown's adult programs supplement the full-time faculty with practicing professionals holding advanced academic credentials. These faculty members have an understanding of and are comfortable with the adult learning environment. The size of Crown allows for personal attention from faculty, with a student/faculty ratio of 14:1.
