Founded in 1919, Bemidji State University has an enrollment of over 5,000 students from 44 states and 40 foreign countries, all of whom benefit from the vast resources of the Minnesota State Colleges & Universities System.
We are located in the spectacular lake country of north central Minnesota, less than 220 miles from Minneapolis. The University sits adjacent to the city of Bemidji, which is recognized as the first city on the Mississippi River and one of the 100 best small cities in America.
