Company Overview

The mission of the physicians and staff of Cardiovascular Consultants, Ltd., North Memorial Women's Heart Clinic, and Minnesota Mobile Medicine is to provide the highest quality services to our patients and their physicians. Working together with referring physicians, we are committed to optimizing the health and well-being of our patients.

Clinic History

Cardiovascular Consultants, Ltd. consists of twelve physicians. It first opened its doors for business in July of 1974. At that time, Dr. Kimber was the only physician. In July of 1976, Dr. Hanovich joined Dr. Kimber to help meet the growing demand for quality cardiology services in the northwestern section of the metropolitan area.

Drs. Bruce Johnson and Tony Plucinski were added to the group in July of 1984. In June of 1986, Cardiovascular Consultants moved into the Oakdale Medical Building. Because of continued growth, Dr. Michael Manoles was added to our medical staff in July of 1987. Two additional cardiologists, Drs. Andrew McGinn and Jody Rowland, joined the group in April and September of 1992.

During early 1996 Cardiovascular Consultants moved to its current location in the North Heart Center at North Memorial Medical Center, helping create a new and innovative concept in healthcare of a "one stop shop for your heart care needs". Due to expansion and increased needs, two new physicians, Drs. Mary McLaurin and Doug Hodgkin, were added to the medical staff in July and September of 1997. In July of 1998, Dr. Brian Lew joined the group. Dr. Pam Paulsen joined the practice in December 2000. Tragically, Dr. Bruce Johnson passed away unexpectedly in October of 2004.

In October 2004, CVC in partnership with North Memorial Health Care opened the North Memorial Women's Heart Clinic on the WestHealth campus in Plymouth. This provided the area with one of the only cardiology facilities for women staffed by women.

In February of 2005, Dr. Bilal Murad, an interventional cardiologist, was a welcome addition to the staff at Cardiovascular Consultants.

In April 2005, CVC in partnership with Minneapolis Radiology launched Minnesota Mobile Medicine (MMM). MMM's 40 foot truck provides nuclear imaging services for remote locations that otherwise would have none.

Dr. Bobbi Hoppe, an electrophysiologist, joined the group in August of 2005.
