Company Overview

Indian Health Board of Minneapolis (IHB) was incorporated in 1971 to provide for the health needs of the Minneapolis American Indian community and is the first health clinic to serve patients in the area.

In 1986, IHB was the first urban Indian clinic and the first Minnesota community health center to receive a three year accreditation from the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO).

In 1990, IHB was designated as a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC).

Today, IHB provides medical care, dental care and counseling services to more than 7,000 patients each year. Our medical services include primary, adult, OB/GYN and pediatric care with emphasis on family planning, diabetes care and health wellness and education. IHB makes continuing plans to expand its services within the Twin Cities area and continues to serve an increasing number of Indian and non-Indian patients.
