AAA Chicago is a member of the Auto Club Group, a Michigan based holding company comprised of six Midwestern AAA Clubs. The Auto Club Group (ACG) services more than 4 million members in eight states. In addition, we own and operate, The Auto Club Insurance Association providing auto and home insurance to approximately 800,000 policy-holders across the ACG territory. In fact, we are the leading auto insurance provider and travel agency in several of the markets ACG serves. The Auto Club Group also owns a major interest in AAA Life Insurance Company, which markets life insurance and annuity products to approximately 150,000 policy-holders across the nation.
While many of the ACG’s broad-based business functions are managed at the holding company level, each of the six AAA clubs operates autonomously in its respective territory. AAA members pay annual dues, which entitle them to a wide spectrum of products and services. Benefits range from AAA’s famous 24-hour Emergency Road Service, Auto touring and travel agency services… to insurance, retirement planning and financial services. At the local level are clubs are well-respected for important programs that protect the rights, safety and comfort of motorist, pedestrians and travelers.
Founded in 1902, AAA is one of the largest membership organizations in the world representing more than 44 million members. AAA National acts as a trade association, governing the standards and reciprocal agreements shared between more than 80-independently-chartered AAA Clubs.
